Conjoined Chief CH

The “CH” in Spanish is one sound. This is like one of the “CH” sounds that is used in English.

The Spanish “CH” is like the first “CH” in church.

(We bet that this is the first time that you were told that English has two “CH” sounds. But, learning a new language is about expanding your perceptions. The first “CH” in church is “explosive,” the second “CH” in church is “implosive.” These are not the same sounds and these sounds are created with different mouth shapes!)
